Recently, the World War One Centennial Commission asked to interview me for their newsletter. The questions from Public Affairs Director Chris Isleib (an old battleship sailor by the way) focused on how I got so involved with the study of the war, my publications and battlefield tours, my thoughts on the work of the commission, and why it's still important to remember the WWI generation. ReplyDeleteGlad to read of your background in World War One interest. I come by it through an interest in the royalty of the time, especially the doomed Romanovs and Habsburg dynasties. Because of my interest in all things Habsburg , I'm generally only interested in the Central Powers.
