ReplyDeleteI am afraid that 3 people dead probably really shouldn't be included. It was however, very interesting to read about.
ReplyDeleteThey miss out the UK. Ireland was part of the UK at the time, so the Easter Rebellion was very relevant as part of the history of the UK; some see it as the beginning of the fall of the British Empire. In England, there were riots against people of German ancestry, to the extent that even the King decided to change his family's surname from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor.
