ReplyDeleteAll wonderful places...
ReplyDeleteBrought back fond, nostalgic and also sad emotions forom previous sightings of these in London on various trips
ReplyDeleteNot specific to WWI and not in London proper but my list would also include the RAF museum in Hendon and the Shuttleworth Collection about an hour north of London. Both contain a great selection of authentic WWI aircraft and other artifacts.
ReplyDeleteA splendid list.
ReplyDeleteI'll add the Waterloo Station pieces, too, if Blogger will let me link.

ReplyDeleteThe Machine Gunners Memorial is also striking with its figure of the biblical David with Goliath's sword, and the quote "Saul has slain his thousands/ but David his tens of thousands."
ReplyDeleteI thhink they should all be torn as they represent the enslavement and exploitation of the blacks and indegenious peoples by the evil white British.
ReplyDeleteMay we all have a chance to visit them again soon !
ReplyDeleteI second the motion!
