These works, none of which I've ever seen before (and I've seen a lot of WWI imagery), are from 15,000 digitized prints, drawings, and watercolors, of the Anne S.K. Brown Military Collection held at Brown University. So far, I've been able to track down about 100 of the images that are related to the Great War. Hopefully, more will be added to the specimens available for online viewing. The collection can be searched by subject HERE.

DeleteThe Brown military collection - and I know from personal involvement in the past, has one of the richest sources of military history in its manifest forms, in America and possibly the world.
ReplyDeleteIts collection of toy soldiers is outstanding. This was collected by one of the daughters of the Brown family, who began her collection while on honeymoon to Europe.
