The Argonne Cross at Arlington

There are numerous memorials and burials at the Arlington National Cemetery related to the First World War, the most famous, of course, being the Tomb of the Unknowns. We will present these individually on Roads to the Great War.

The inscriptions on the Argonne Cross read: "In memory of our men in France, 1917-1918" (front) and "Erected * Through * The * Efforts * Of * The Argonne * Unit * American * Womens' * Legion" (rear).
