Response Poems


Sometimes the works of the war poets, especially from the early Sacrifice and Remembrance School did not sit well. Sometimes readers were stirred to make a response.  Here are two examples:

  1. Unbelievable retorts to some of the most famous poems!!! Kipling did the same for Tennyson's "The Charge of the Light Brigade," in "The Last of the Light Brigade." But maybe a little more disheartening... as war is want to do... As we have since learned, "only the dead have seen the end of war..."
