I wonder if one reason why the Russians are relentlessly hammering the electric grid in Ukraine is that most drones run on batteries, and batteries need electricity?
It's interesting to notice that every war comes with its wave of technological innovations that challenges existing paradigms. This time we are witnessing the victory of mice vs the elephants, aka drones vs tanks. If there's an area where obsolescence can be deadly, that is a real live battlefield in the middle of a raging war. The victory belongs to the one who can adapt. In consequence, I've cancelled my son's Russian's lessons and is now learning to pilot drones, the next better skill after a driving licence.
