  1. Relatives of mine who served the Italian effort in the Great War:
    Giovani (John) Vercellino: b. 6 Aug 1860 Salto, Torino IT, moved to Lead SD, then back to Torino IT, and finally back to Lead SD and d. 24 Nov 1924. Served in Italian military for 3 years in the Ski Troops WW I (photo in uniform).
    Calo Albert (Charles) Tracono: b. 1878 Borgiallo IT assigned Italian Consul for NW region of the US to find Italians for WWI duty. 1923 titled Cavaliere by King Victor Emmanuel III, Crown of Savoy.
