Been to Belleau Wood; drank from the Bulldog Fountain. A most impressive and sobering experience. While we give the Marines their well-deserved due, let us not forget that Soldiers of the United States Army were there as well, both in the Wood at various times and guarding the flanks of the Marines. My hat is off to all the Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines who fought so bravely there.
