About Cigarette Cards
Cigarette cards were first used as stiffeners to cigarette packs in the latter part of the 19th century. They began being used as a marketing tool with the British ultimately dominating the field. The Anglo-Boer war was a major stimulus for card production. More details on First World War Cards will follow in future installments.
