Squadron Commander, Lord Flashheart
A Sad Note: After putting this article together, I was saddened to discover that Rik Mayall, the brilliant actor/comedian who portrayed Flashheart, died of a heart attack at age 56 in 2014. RIP
The Flashheart character is reminiscent of George MacDonald Fraser's (1925-2008) character Harry Flashman, who Fraser inserts into many important events during the 19th century.
