The Centralia, WA, Armistice Day Tragedy



  1. Nicely done remembrance of a tragic event in the immediate aftermath of the war. The incident is emblematic of the tensions and social fissures highlighted by the war - workers’ rights, civil rights for non-whites, women’s rights, class tensions, etc. This event is commemorated with reverence to the present day by the American Legion.
