Of the living; but the dead returning lightly dance.

The Road to Nantillois

If your relative served in the AEF or you just have a general interest in the Great War's Western Front, I'd like to recommend the great on-line photo album at Meuse-Argonne.com  {LINK} for your perusal.  This Facebook site was started by World War One Historical Association President and Battlefield Guide Randy Gaulke and has attracted thousands of contributors interested in America's participation in the war.

5th Marines Passing Through Sain-Quen-les-Paray,
Spring 1918

Medical Station at Vaux

Shown here are a few samples of my favorite contributor and fellow Penn Stater George Miller. You've probably seen a number of "Then & Now" photo pairs in your reading and browsing, but George has gone a step further. He has taken archival motion picture film, tracked down and photographed the present day locations, and then—through some photo-editing wizardry—blended them into a dynamic viewing experience. You'll  have to go to the Facebook site to get the full experience, but I hope these samples will "wet  your whistle".  This link will let you sort through the full collection for George Miller's contributions {LINK}.
